Studio policies
As a small business owner, it is necessary for me to establish some policies and guidelines.
1. Attendance and Cancellation Policy
Lesson Cancellation: Students must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made within 24 hours (or No-Shows) will result in full charge.
2. Payment Policy
Lesson Fees: Payment is due before scheduling a lesson. If purchasing a package, I will invoice you separately.
3. Tardiness
If the student is late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time. If the teacher is late, the missed time will be added to the end of the lesson or rescheduled.
4. Choosing Repertoire
We will work in collaboration to pick repertoire that best suits your interest and technical goals. If you would like to sing something new in your next lesson, please email me in advance of your lesson.
5. Lesson Preparation
The expectation is that you will come to your lessons with your melody notes and rhythms learned. If you need assistance with this, please download the app “Appcompanist”.
6. Lesson Materials
Students should bring their sheet music (2 copies), and practice materials to each lesson.
7. Health and Safety
Students exhibiting signs of illness are required to cancel or switch to an online lesson. In-person lessons may resume once the student is symptom-free.
8. Respect and Conduct Policy
Mutual respect and trust is essential for a vocal progress to happen. Disrespectful behavior, including lack of cooperation, or disruptive conduct, will not be tolerated.
The teacher reserves the right to end a lesson immediately if disrespect occurs, with no refund or make-up lesson offered. The teacher also researves the right to terminate of lessons at any time for any reason.
